If you are interested in writing a walkthrough, please post in this thread with the game(s) you are interested in. You can also use our new walkthrough request system. Simply go to the walkthrough header on your chosen game and click the "this application" link.

Before deciding whether or not you want to write a walkthrough, you should be aware that a well-constructed, detailed walkthrough can take up a significant amount of time. It is important to note that any incorrect information in a walkthrough reflects poorly on the site. As such, please strive to only include correct information in your walkthroughs.

Whilst we will try to assign an overseer that has also played the game, this will not always be possible. In some cases, we will not be able to verify all your information.

As a general rule, the more detail, the better. This is entirely dependent on the type of game you are writing the walkthrough for. If you believe more information is needed to help the readers, please include it! You don't have to include the DLC with your walkthrough if you don't want to, but we do encourage it.

Stating your interest in helping with a walkthrough in this thread does not guarantee you the sole rights to the walkthrough. The Walkthroughs on TrueAchievements are of a wiki-style. As such, if you show interest in a game that has already been worked on, you will (in most cases) be added to the walkthrough as an Editor. If there is no progress, or the previous owner has opted out of writing the walkthrough, you will be the owner of the walkthrough.

After posting in this thread, we will be in contact as soon as we can. Walkthrough handouts are usually dealt with within 7 days of requests.

We do reserve the right to deny a member's request for writing a walkthrough if we cannot see the game on your Gamertag. We, and the community, need to be assured that the person writing the walkthrough has some understanding of the game, either through completion or actively playing the game.

Our walkthroughs are significantly different in format than walkthroughs on any other site. Please read through the following thread for information on how your walkthrough should be written.

Thanks in advance for your interest!

I realize we don't have sole rights to the walkthrough and that's cool, but I would hate to see a walkthrough I wrote for TA on another site. So what if that happens? Will TA contact the site and tell them to remove it? My purpose is to help as many people as I can, but I would also like to draw traffic through TA, not another site. I'm not a member of any other 360 site (and don't care to be) and only want to contribute to TA.

Anyway, I would love to write some walkthroughs for TA. I don't know if I'll be able to during the summer as work is Hell from about June-September. But I definitely will contribute in the future.

We have some copyright attempt at the bottom of each walkthrough. If some other website tries to steal any of our walkthroughs I'm sure Rich would be willing to send them some strongly worded messages. The point of the walkthroughs themselves is to draw traffic here and to keep gamers here instead of going to those other sites, along with their obvious uses of being just plain helpful.

That was quick! Thanks for the info. I assumed as much but wanted to make sure.

I am currently playing Wolfenstein, but i am willing to write the walkthrough when I am finished.

With this being heavily sided to Mulitplayer Achievements maybe as part of the walkthrough, i could offer services as a boosting partner aswell. Just an idea !

May i just add i am still getting the multiplayer and campaign achievements myself! wave

I'm certainly willing to work on walkthroughs for any game I've100%'d. Was curious if for instance with the Aegis Wing page... can we make the link for the walkthrough near the guide link point to that particular achievement in the walkthrough instead of the walkthrough's main page? It would cut down on extra clicking and display similar information. Also, do you think that this will change the number or quality of achievement guides posted?

I can edit and write ones for The Maw, Crystal Defenders, and Tenchu XBLA. A few others as well but I can start off with those.

I'd actually like to be a content manager as well if possible.

I'd like to volunteer to do a walkthrough, although I may not be at the 'high standard' TA is looking for. If I could, I'd most like to try and do the Game Room guide.

And while we're talking about content managers...

We're not worried about the number or quality of the achievement guides, the walkthroughs are not gonna replace those.

About your suggestion, I'm not sure I follow...ok ok, I have no idea what you're talking about, care to explain it so even a half wit understands?

I am very willing to help with this. So much so that I will purchase capture equipment just for this purpose. A longtime booster who is tired of reading 'to kill 50 people for the chieve, kill 50 people or if you are looking for a collectible in a forest & the 'guide' says next to the tree. Efficiency is what I am looking for. I will provide maps, walking directions, highly detailed descriptions and I use spreadsheets as well. I also do not have a huge ego, so I'd be easy to work with. Just let me know.

I'd be willing to write a walk through. Basically, any game that I have 1000/1000 I can write well or semi-well. Anything below that I can try to write, if it looks to be self explanatory and I'm just to lazy to do it XD

Can we add screen shots to our walkthroughs? or youtube clips?

Also there should be a badge called "Pimpin the Walkthroughs" laugh

Yup. you can check out a lovely youtube video in my Feeding Frenzy walkthrough by Lozzy7. Screen shots should not be an issue either as far as I know.

Speaking of badges, will there be one for walkthroughs like there is reviews? I'll still write no matter what, but I also like badges. Alot...

In the future, namely after E3, I can most definitely help with these. It's basically what I do for a living anyway, heh, so a bit more time spent volunteering on them won't hurt. How do we do screenshots though - is it hosting it on another site and then embedding? I'd imagine that'd be the case. Hmm... need to find a site to host shots.

Correct. Also, make sure you have an account wherever you host them. it'd be a bit of a pain if they got removed for whatever reason (like the way Imageshack lets you upload images without an account, but they remove them after a certain period of inactivity).

I'm going to try to work out a way to upload images.

It may take a few weeks though, so in the mean time if you could use 3rd parties for that it would be very helpful
